Martyn Scott Hale was born in Alma, Michigan on 1/1/1992. He was raised by his grandparents Lyle & Mary Hale. Hale has a younger brother, Malcolm, and a mother, Melinda. As a child, Hale was always outside playing sports with friends, mowing lawns, and pushing the limits of the law. He always dreamed of becoming a TV/Movie actor, but needed to get through high school first. In school Hale played varsity football, wrestling, and stopped playing basketball to snowboard, but his main love was baseball where he was known for his sensational catches and ability to track down fly balls. His main achievement came in a two out 9th inning situation when he made a game saving diving catch. Head coach Dennis Kreiner said "Hale's catch was one of the best plays I've ever seen in High school baseball. It was a huge play for our team". After squeezing by in school, Hale finally made the decision to chase his dream. Hale's first role experience came in the DreamWorks film "Real Steel" as a bumped up extra to a featured young cowboy. Something strange happened, and he became friends with everyone on set including "Wolverine" Hugh Jackman. While filming on his Grandpa's birthday, Hale got Jackman and his stunt double, Taris Tyler's autograph as a birthday present for his Grandpa. Hale then boarded the Barbizon Discovery Cruise in the summer of 2010 in hopes of finding representation. Hale was noticed by many agents and managers, but felt the strongest friendship with L.A's 2010 Talent Manager of the Year winner Terrie Snell. Hale then flew out to L.A for his first ever audition as a lead for the hot TV series show "Shameless", starring William H. Macy. Hale did not get the role, but he had realized how lucky and how far he had come. At age 18, Marty put aside playing college baseball to pursue the dream. He was discovered by L.A's 2010 Talent Manager of the Year winner Terrie Snell. You can also spot her in "Home Alone 1" and "Home Alone 2" as Aunt Leslie. Martyn has appeared in National commercials, PSAs and print. He continues to work on his craft with a special teacher and Amazing Actor Gary Imhoff.
